The dockets are a record of criminal misdemeanor proceedings held before the U.S. commissioner. Misdemeanors are less serious crimes that can result in small fines and short-term confinements in jail. The information given for each proceedings includes the names of the defendant, U.S. commissioner hearing the proceedings, and U.S. deputy marshal making the arrest; judgment rendered by the U.S. commissioner or verdict of the jury; and the length of sentence or amount of fine imposed.
